Welcoming all Super Kindergartener's! I am excited to have a wonderful year with you putting our super power of learning to good use.
We will start out our year learning about colors while we adjust to the rules and routines of school. We will learn a color every day and do some activities to go with it. We will send a note home about this on the first day of school!

We have almost made it through our first full week of Kindergarten! I am so proud of these kiddo's and how hard they have been working to learn how to do the things we do at school. I have also been impressed with how many have remembered to wear the color of the day.
So far we have been introduced to two of our shapes: Mr. Circle and Mr. Rectangle. Tomorrow we will meet Ms. Square. The kids have loved our shapes, and they always remember that the shapes are watching them at school! :)
We have also started CKLA (The district reading program) we have been listening to different instruments (this helps prepare them to hear different letter sounds) and working on vertical lines.

Welcome to Kindergarten! I am so excited to teach Kindergarten this year. I truly love working with children, my husband always teases me that they are my peers. Kindergarten is such an exciting time! Because it is our first school experience, it tends to be one that we remember. It is a great opportunity to work with children and help them learn to love learning.
I will make sure to post at least every other week to help keep you informed on what we are learning about in school and any upcoming events. There is an option on this page to subscribe or to sign up to have this emailed to you each time I post. I will also use the website (it has an app) called Bloomz to help keep you in the loop and arrange for different things like parent helpers. I am so excited to work with all of you, let's make it a great year!
